Steelers – Packers Game: Best Game this Year?

Wow, what a game! Yesterday afternoon, I watched the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers in a game that went about the way I expected, until the final drive. For most of the game, I had steeled myself for the inevitable meltdown I was sure would come. Even so, despite my best attempts to not care about the fourth quarter, I was really nervous in the final minutes. But, when Mike Wallace caught that TD pass from Big Ben with no time left on the clock, I yelled like a little kid. I’m normally pretty reserved, so this is unusual for me. But, anyway, that was among the best finishes to game that I can ever remember. Here are my thoughts on the game.

Favre Watch: Previewing the Packers-Vikings Week 4 Game

In perhaps the most intriguing game of the year, the Green Bay Packers will travel to Minnesota to take on the Brett Favre led Vikings. This will be the first time that Favre has played his old team, and the second time in my memory where a young star quarterback has faced the icon that he replaced. In the 90’s, the 49ers, with Steve Young, faced Joe Montana and Chiefs. That time, Montana came out on top. Now, it will be Aaron Rodgers facing his old teammate. Will Favre get his revenge on the Packers, or will Rodgers help Green Bay fans forget about Brett? (Ok, I know Packers fans will never forget Brett.)

Checking the Numbers: Bears-Packers Game

This past Sunday night, the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears matched up for another game in this great rivalry . Both teams fought hard, with Bears apparently wrapping it up with about 2 minutes left in the game. But, then the Packers quickly drove down the field and won on a long TD pass from Aaron Rodgers to Greg Jennings. Well, there are plenty of recaps out there reviewing the game, but here I wanted to look at this game from my own analytical perspective.
